  1. Nuff said, had to dig deep and gave them a 10sec head start with crap on his
tyres and all and STILL did the job,bet doohan is glad this guys was not
around when he was riding .

Max has got to be happy he had that 4 sec gap in his pocket, stuck it right
    up that useless SeteBultaco

As for #46 still not signed,Yamaha have increased the offer to a HUGE
amount,Ducati cannot match that will he accept it?? Go one Valentino take
them up ,prove its you and not the bike that champion makes

Great ride by Marco too, first Yami home and started in 15th....

Total disaster for Ducati, where not even in the race, just as well a Italian
1 and 2 in the MotoGP and Aprilia cleaned up in the 125cc and 250cc races

Who is this Tomato bloke???Bet he gets the most powerful hahaonda donk......

ThePodge is destined for greatness in the 250cc nobody has won it first year
out,and Casey knocking on the door for a win in the 125's maybe @ Phillip
    Isd. ??

Great ,only a small time time to get ones breath back and then back into it
    on Sunday arvo.

  2. Good point

    Forgot all about those,be a busy w/end......

F1 is more or less a done deal, the 1000 race should be interesting be
looking for a BlueOval victory after so many attempts.

As for the bikes, hope Valentino cocks it up again, love seeing him hunt them
down, good demo. of riding skill,he will wrap it up on Sunday i would say,and
    then sign for Yami ?

  3. Yeah doohan,3 years before his first win,Rossi wins in his first year

doohan 37% win rate ,Rossi over 50%

doohan would never have let him in the same team, shit scared of him like he
    was of Biaggi

I'd love to see him sign with Yamaha. Be great to see him actually have to
    work for the championship.

But it seems unlikely. Fortuna... Gauloise... any non tobacco major
    sponsors?

In any case, first beer @ 10am Sunday!

Doohan started racing GPs in 1989 and won his first race in 1990.
Get an adult to help you with the maths if required.
    Apples and oranges
    Doohan _never_ finished behind Biaggi.
Rossi has finished behind Biaggi 3 or 4 times this year alone.

....and if Biaggus ever gets equal machinery....:)
Rossi runs off the track under the pressure of chasing Biaggus and
    Gibbernuts.
Doohan ran off the track at PI chasing la ap record when the race was well
    in his keeping.
Somehow I think there would be a bit more likelihood of Rossi making a
mistake if the two were dicing.

  16. He must be a genius - didn't win, wasn't even on the podium for most of the
race, and yet he got a shitload of airtime and the commentators must have
mentioned his name about 5,000 times. Have to be clever to manage that sort
    of coverage.

  18. Sounds like a fellow in F1 who only needs 1 single point to be 03' champion for
    a record 6th time........

I've gotta agree with you there Clonehead!
Judging by the way monkey-boy drops his bundle every time he gets even slightly pressured he would've been
    Doohan's little bitch!
(Even Gardner would've taken him apart like an easily pulled-apart thing)
Brilliant brilliant rider, but about as mentally tough as Shane Warne......

  20. Yes a adult did help me, i stand corrected. What i should have written was it took
doohan till his 6th season till he became #1 as in world champion as opposed to
Valentino who did it in his 2nd year and almost his first (bloody unworthy
    champion that Robert's Jnr anyway)
    How about 97' doohan 340 points 02' Rossi 355 points ?

Or Rossi who now is only 2nd behind GodAgo with the number of times race after
    race on the podium???
Did you forget 98'?First race ever for Biaggi he wins in Japan, and of course in
Brno CZ latter in the year Biaggi wins that too?Or does that not count because
doohan crashed or had some sort of mech. dnf??
Yeap unlike 97' where the opposition where spastics,it is a lot harder these
days, esp this year and now with more interest will become even tougher
