Got an envelope in the post this morning, containing a very welcome
valentines gift. Not a card bearing devotions of love, it was my new
ACU racing license, bearing the important word "National"

So, that's one hurdle to entering the Manx out of the way. I'm a
    happy chap.

Sweet. Makes the effort of collecting sigs worth it.

    Now, DFC.

It is a weight off my mind, that's for sure. And of course, I don't
need to worry about getting sigs anymore.

heh - just thought - I could enter a BSB round if I wanted.
Qualifying might be a different matter, mind.
Oh, I'm rather focused on not-crashing on the IoM.

Lets hope the final hurdle is not in a dry stone wall somewhere on the Isle
    of Man )

    - finishing building the bike (also a reqmt of going endurance racing)
    - getting an entry (no idea how easy/hard this is)
    - being able to afford it (not looking good, to be honest)

A small but leading question is called for I think.

Would the bike itself be quick enough?

Not to win obviously but quick enough to be competitive at the back
    somewhere.

Depends who was on it. I guess someone like Shane Byrne might be able
to put it on the back of the grid. I also imagine that I *might* just
qualify Bryne's championship winning bike on the back of the grid.

That is a given really, I understand that.

I haven't got a clue, what is the difference between the front and the
back of the grid in BSB as far as the bikes are concerned? Would Hislop
have a ghost of a chance to get in the points on one?

And I got my KRC Marshalls application form today, too. Apparently they
don't really need anyone extra until Pembrey in July although I may be
required to do the training at Oulton before the first meeting.
