Just bought the V45 Magna, ran well for a week, then started to
sputter, RPM ran from 5000-7000-5000 loosing a little power till i'm
up to speed. Honda of anderson SC. wouldn't touch it. They sent me to
a Bike-JunkYard to get worked on, no-can-do for a week, too busy...
would like to change electronic ignition myself so that I could get to
    ride quicker. Can anyone help?

Why do you think it is an ignition problem? What tests have you
performed that would confirm or rule out ignition problems as a
possible cause of the symptoms you are experiencing?

I'm not saying it _isn't_ an ignition problem, but there are things
you can test and inspect that will lead you toward or away from ignition
    trouble as the diagnosis.

I would diagnose the problem *before* I went shopping for parts,
doing it in the wrong order wastes too much time, and is too expensive.

Visit http://www.sabmag.org, they can help you if anyone can.

It's also helpful if the OP mentions what year model it is.
