    Like you said, easily fixed, but why you should have to fix *anything* on a
    20,000 motorcycle (as it was at the time) is the point.

    Because life wasn't meant to be easy...

    If the mechs were competent, most problems would never arise. Fact is,
    they're only human and not one of them has the same regard for my bike that
    I do.

    Hell, even Hondas break down...

    Yah, but locking you into using thier mechanics isn't 'breaking down' it
    is a deliberate, cynical and profiteering attempt to squeeze extra
    dollars out of us.

    And I'm not knocking tuneboy, they saw a need and they met it as best as
    possible.

    It's Triumph that did the wrong thing here.

    Maybe. It's not like most owners are going to need to change tunes a lot,
    maybe it was more of an attempt to keep drones from fucking their bikes,
    resulting in more warranty claims...
    A triumph of reverse-engineering you might say... ; )
    Yeah, at the very least, the gameboy and factory software should've been
    made available to the multitudes.
