USGP tickets prices insane on ebay

  1. I bid $1100 for 4 two-day general admittance tickets with paddock passes and
    lost: winning bid was $1300.

I don't know what's crazier -- the tickets selling for $1300, or you bidding
    $1100 for them.

I haven't got my tickets yet, but I just have a pair of GA and some seats at
Turn 11. By the time I got through on the phone, the paddock was sold out.

You can get generic GA tickets for $75 on their web site, FYI.

The paddock would be OK, but it's basically an AMA paddock, not the GP, and
only the suite ticket holders can actually get to the GP pits. Though it
would be nice to be their in the winner circle when Nicky makes podium at
    home ;-).

Actually, they were. I've got 2 paddock 2 GA and 1 parade lap.
And a room at the Marriot.

  5. Agreed! But two I would have sold on ebay again the week before the race,
paying for my two. Oh well!
Turn 11 seating should be nice. Though I don't know why they call it Turn11
when it is actually the pit straight. You can see the exit of T11 but the
new garages are in the way so you don't see much else except ehm coming down
the hill at T9. But with the Big screen tv, full view of the start and pits,
it should be nice. I don't like that spot for a two-hour car race but for a
    45-min bike race, very cool.
Oh, I know. The auction was all about the paddock passes. A paddock pass
alone without GA sold earlier this week for over $350.
More than "OK", just for the podium! Also the backdoor to the garages are
usually open so you are at least close to them and might see some people and
machines going back and forth from the trucks.

As I recall GA was available early, and, yea, it doesn't surprise me about
the Paddock. Since I wanted to try and get one of the packages, I waited (I
figured it would be a "what the heck once-in-a-lifetime" splurge on the GP
thing). Then I couldn't get the paddock either.

I think that there's going to be teeming masses both in and out of the
paddock. It's going to be chaos.

I'll get my paddock fix this weekend at Fontana.

    You coming down Mark??

  7. For Grand-Am? Not the same! :) But I'll be there on Sunday. Any day at
the track is better than not at the track. Check out craigslist.org: if you
do not already have tickets, there are a bunch for sale there, but mostly
Saturday passes. Some sponsor must have dumped a lot of complimentary
    tickets.
