Yep. The deer would have done only minor damage, but for the
subsequent impact. "Failure to yield to the overtaken vehicle" would
seem to describe the trucker's folly, and as soon as anyone says "He
didn't have time" then we can invoke "following too closely."
"Excessive Speed" and if he argues, we can throw in "Reckless
    Driving."

Suppose the car had had some other problem besides hitting a dear,
like, say hitting a large rock, or suffereing an engine siezure. The
outcome then would have been no different, and there would have been
no deer to blame it on.

Wolves. Lots of wolves. Solve a lot of problems. Mountain lions, too, gotta
    give felines an equal opportunity.

No argument there. About 10 million humans on the North American continent
    would be just fine.

  11. Not necessarily...I'd save my dog before I'd save most
people. But that's because she has a good judgment of
character and well...not many people pass her test.
Oh and I've no problem on a hunting season on people, try
reading "The 10th Victim" some time. ;^) I gots me a tag for
    10!

  12. That's how city boys do it. Us poor country kids pop the
head off then turn the skin inside out. Peels off easier
than an orange peel if you know what you're doing.

    We can't have that, Keith.

It's not safe. Bugger the tourists, you might get a lance in the
    front wheel.

    you!

    Interesting.

First, Texas isn't open graze territory.

History has shown that if you eliminate the wolf population, you don't
eliminate cattle loss but rather increase over population of "critters" like
    rats and such.

Wolves have never been prone to kill and eat cattle. The instances were
extremely rare and many times showed that what killed the cattle weren't
    wolves.

  20. 1) We only bugger the cute ones...

    2) THAT is why you use a lance of suitable length...3m
    should suffice.

So what do you lot use down there? I've seen pictures of the
various ways you use them as Piñata's...me like.
