URGENT: Paging the USAians

Help!

I've just found a CD that I've been after for some time, on ebay.com.
The seller will only post within the US. If anybody can help me out
with a US postal address, I'll gladly pay for the cost of sticking it in
a USPS carboard sleeve, plus inconvenience reparation, of course.

Anybody out there?

position, IYSWIM. A volunteer is worth ten pressed men and all that.
Not only that, but for fi' dorra a USPS cardboard wallet will get it to
me slickasyoulike.

 

Sounds like a job for Timo.

Although it'll probably arrive broken into many different pieces, or
have some inexplicable fault which means it'll only play on a Technics
CD player made in 1989 or something.

I see the other Tom's gotcha covered. The funny part is us two Toms
know each other too. We met at a rec.moto gathering in Utah a few
years ago.

 

I expect the tomtoms were sounding across the buttes that night.

 

I can report they both behaved like perfect gentlemen.

 

Shirley ebyed a whole bunch of tat this week, strictly on the basis of
shipping to the UK only.

So far she's posted stuff to America, Canada and China ...

Well, I would have done, but ... I read the listing and he specifically,
in words of one syllable, stated domestic shipping only. It read like
he meant it, you know - so I emailed him and told him what I intended
and asked if he would be OK with shipping to my 'agent' Stateside.

His response was cool, to say the least - but he thanked me for asking
first and I got the very firm impression that he'd have cancelled the
sale and blocked me if I'd just hit the tit. Through our email
conversation it transpired that he just doesn't want the responsibility
of sending fragile and perhaps valuable items overseas: his rep and
feedback mean more to him than potential customers or profit.

Once he'd warmed up he was fine, but there was no way he'd post abroad
and I really wanted that disc, not just because it was very reasonably
priced for what it is.

 

I think Shirley used too many long words, the ignorant foreign bastards
just bid.

Ho hum, all paid for, exhorbitant shipping charges added and parcels
sent. I wonder how many claim backs we'll get.
