Ooh, ta. There's no rush. Well, not for delivery, anyway.

    It's a GL1500 drive shaft and pinion assembly. £30!

  8. Sounds like you have my problem: buying bits you don't need for your
    bikes, purely because they're cheap.

Which is why I have a complete headlight assembly for the Triumph, and a
spare swinging arm for the Ducati. Oh, and a brake piston for the 400
Four, a set of HT leads for the Triumph, a speedo drive assembly for the
    Ducati.....

No: this is needed - or will be soon. At least, the shaft bit will be,
given the strange rumbles on overrun.

The buying stuff "cos it's on Ebay" craze appears to have stopped:
leaving a NOS TS250 petrol tank in the loft, and an assortment of
tacky blingcessories for the Wing nestling in a box at the back of the
garage. Near the 12 copper exhaust gaskets for a KH500. And the spare
GL1500 wheels. And the interactive South Park sofa.

    # I found it on Ebay. Tell me why ...
You are me, AICMFF ... er, on second thoughts, no.

Not going to BOSM but I live 5 miles away and work in Knutsford so I can
collect and meet someone who may be within 30 mins of Knutty[1] who could
    forward said piece onwards.

[1] I'm happy to do a 60 mile RT to drop something off.[2]

[2] That said my mate lives in Stoke so if someone could collect from
there and take it onwards that would be better.

    Panic over.

It's a bit big to be dragged about by bike, and I had a 20% off
voucher to use up on Ebay anyway, so I'll have it delivered to work.

    Easiest all round, prolly.

    You're all wonderful people.
