I would like to point out, in a spirit of fairness, and with my
(borrowed) Sword Of Flaming Truth, that badly adjusted, over-bright
headlights are generally a short distance in front of ignorant fuckers
who should be dragged from their vehicles and hanged from the nearest
lamppost, or other suitable piece of street-furniture in the absence of
    said public illumination.

I still remember, with fondness, holding Nidge's face three inches from
a 500W halogen lamp chez-Bonwick, by way of explanation.

A surfeit of lamps is surely the province of scooterboys, anyway.
I remember that too, also with fondness. "This is what it's like riding in
    front of you, you ****."

I had a Land Rover 110 following me this evening, that had Xenon HIDs.
That was with much brightness too, I fought back with clouds of two
stroke smoke and a super bright bling bling brake light[1].

I feel as though having a super bright light catches the motorists eye
better[2]. And as such, is nice for safety, as there isn't such scope
for 100watt halogen bulbs when you've got a puny charging system and
only one bulb for dipped beam.

[1] Like having the cross between a fog light and a spot light. :)
[2] Even with a properly aimed beam.
