You're right, though. He often shakes his head in disgust at the
shenanigans. I reckon you'd be lucky to find any dealership any different.
It'll also depend on which mechanic picks up your vehicle's job sheet. Some
of them pass over "little" stuff so they don't get into trouble for taking
too long on one particular vehicle. Others take the time to fix it right the
first time, and just wear the upbraid.

I told you that the only economy in of those is in the name! For what
it's worth, doing an LPG conversion makes bugger-all difference to the
power or fuel conumption (5.5km/l), but gas is only about $0.35 per
litre.

Mine was missing the drive belt for the compressor, and the on-off
switch had been disconnected. I haven't missed it yet this summer.

As for the seats, my driver's seat had a torn base cover and the
padding was eroded, so I took the foam & cover from a VR Commodore and
made it fit (via a bit of pocket-knife surgery). Now it works pretty
well!

Still, you get to expect things to be a tad worn in a truck after 15
years and 400,000km.
