Update: ZX9 Radiator

Discussion in 'Australian Motorcycles' started by DoinitSideways, Feb 3, 2004.

  1. Well, got the leaky stone chip plus another suspect one welded up. Total
cost for welding was $50 from AAA Kings Radiators in Olympic Circuit,
    Southport.
The radiator is back on the bike and ready to be filled with coolant
thanks to IK's dis/assembly instructions. Last thing i guess is, what are
the recomendations for coolant (i.e. Brand and type) for a 98 ZX9.

Is that like 'ethyl alcohol'? In that case just fill it with metho! That
way when it boils and spews explosive vapour everywhere, you can Darwinate
    in truely spectacular form!

    <DISCLAIMER>
Don't fill your radiator with metho - you'll have every soak in town
fightinh to empty your cooling system!

Just use a good quality one like the Nulon Antiboil/freeze and mix it in a
50/50 concentration for the best results.

Your friendly Ford dealer will be happy to supply you with R1-32 Anti-freeze
    Anti-boil Concentrate. Good stuff.

sure u arent related to these knobs ? ;)

just paid em a vist this afternoon and they have been doing me a favour by
squeezing my van in to be repaired

thats a warranty repair of a van that was not drivable

they also had to fix the door locks, rang me to say it was ready
i asked did you do everything , yes did you fix the side door , ah not sure

dont hear back for 2 days and i call. ah its in the panel shop being repair
    as
we damaged the door getting the lock out

go back a few days later when its ready, locks are still fucked , door
    repair is shithouse

go back today 15 days affter it being delievered there and the door has been
    repaired pretty good now
locks are going to be looked at tomorrow

oh mate we have been so busy , we were lucky to squeeze u in ,
yeh would be better if you fixed it right the first time you dumb fuckers

on a good not i have had a rental van paid for by ford . done over 2500
    kays in it
beaten the crap out of it and will get the pleasure of giving it back dirty
    :)

now the rental van is an ECONovan that sucks down 1 litre every 6 kays , and
    it goes like shit
FFS with that sort of fuel consumption i expect at least 300 HP

aircon is shite in the hot weather , the seats are the most uncomfortable
    things ever

ive been to several ford dealers, Mitsubishi dealers , Toyota dealers
in all these years I dont think I have had the pleasure of a Holden dealer

but by past experiences I wouldn't doubt they would be just as useless as
    all the rest
