I have set up a forum to discuss/develop song contributions to the 2005 UKRM
iCD which will accompany the 2005 UKRM iCalendar.

    http://www.ebaywhiners.com/phpBB2/index.php

If you'd like to get involved then please register your interest on the
    forum.

Very soon registered members will have FTP access to upload/download songs,
parts & guide tracks to assist your recording efforts.

    TIA

p.s. the ebaywhiners domain is just a spare one I had.

    I've registered. There's nothing there.

Why are their threads/forums with the names of some of the people
involved - is this for them to upload stuff to, or for everyone else
    to talk about them?

Ta. Well, there won't be much there until people register & submit their
    ideas etc.

Once we know what songs we're going to attempt we'll upload guide tracks
    that can be downloaded.
After a contributor has recorded a part (WAV, MP3 or MIDI) they'll be able
to upload it to the relevant song folder.
When they've done this they can mention it in the relevant song forum so
other people working on that song can download it etc.

When we're ready, whoever is going to mix a particular song will download
all the song parts and load them into their multi-track audio/midi sequencer
software - then upload the resulting mix.
It was just a way of displaying the available people and perhaps asking them
to contribute a specific part to a specific song.
    Perhaps not the best way?
