Heh. Bet you didn't know that they also cut out the uppers
between the dzus mounts to improve cooling ;-)

But anyway, I've got 998 track fairings for the 748 because
I also prefer the flat-sided look.

I didn't know that. I cba with getting that much into detail, my anorak
    days are sadly over.

It doesn't really matter what bikes are advertised for, just what the
seller will accept. Looking at Parkers, and extrapolating slightly to
allow for the fact that they ignore anything after a 54 plate, I'm
selling the SV for slightly over the odds and buying the GSXR for
    slightly under, so I'm happy.

Interesting stuff. I think an SPS is going to be too expensive.
I called him up, he's going to call me back and let me know what the
    history is like.
Not in budget, and also, misses the point a little.

Not being funny but I know the history of my bike, and
so should he. Unless he's a dealer in which case he's
now coming up with a full service history (sans proof)
    as we speak.
You'd be suprised; they're cheaper than a 998 and in
    decent 996 territory.
    Quite!

Dealer. If there's no proof, I'm not interested. Not like I need to
    rush.

Very true. If you're serious then have a look at the
club board at www.ducatisportingclub.com as the bikes
that go up on there will (usually) be well looked after
    by knowledgeable people.

  13. It is red and he was asking £4995 for it - 2000 with 15K miles IIRC. I
think he's being a bit optimistic, that's in line with Autotrader prices
and I understand they're generally high.

While they're never going to be exactly cheap I think you'll do better
    elsewhere.
