The biker who crashed into the crowd at Bassets Pole last year got 7 years
for causing death by dangerous driving.

Usual rubbish about banning unofficial rallies followed when the sort of
stuff he was doing were already illegal.

According to the local news the guy had a load of previous for motoring
offences, had no licence, insurance or mot and was on bail (for something)
    when it all happened.

The guy sounds like an accident waiting to happen...then it did!

Did you see the state of his bike? Complete shed even before the
accident. And he was un-insured and had no licence either.

Personally the best thing they could do at Bassetts is re-surface the
corner where people try to kneedown. There used to be huge cracks in
the surface that made it lethal to attempt.

That's about 5 years it's been like that then. It was certainly
cracked up when I started at Scenarios in 2001 because I stopped
riding that way to work because of it.
