Unmarked police bike

Got stopped by one today for a licence and rego check.

A silver and red BMW R1200 with a bloody top box

Only obvious police accessory was a pair of small red and blue
lights low down under the headlight.

I commented I'd never seen a police bike like it, he says there's
also a blue one going around.

Be careful out there.

 

Yup. They've been around for quite some time now. And they've been the subject of a great many post
just like yours in the past (well, ok. Not quite the same. I don't think anyone else has been booked
by them) ;-)

 

Sorry, change that to "stopped by them". ;-)

I was talking to a bike cop this afternoon. There are currently two
unmarked cop bikes in use in Melbourne. Both are K1200RS BMWs. A
blue one and this red/silver one.

i was stopped by the same type of bike but in blue same deal...

least now if i was stopped i wouldn't get a fine for no L plate

Yeah, I used to know that, I think, back before I became a thickhead.

 

Magnum Force (or Dirty Harry or whichever the one with David Soul as a
renegade copper doing the murders was) had police 'Guzzis but CHiPs was
definitely Z1000 Kwakkas.

 

shoulda used GPX900's, nobody would have forgotten that
