I'm glad they labelled it... all these modern jappers look the same to me
(except for the 250s, I can pick them from the size of the rear tyre).

  2. ....we all know they make sense...

They keep the muffler out of harm's way in the event of a crash, make ground
clearance virtually infinite, allow a long intermediate pipe, which boosts
top-end power, and, as Smee pointed out yesterday, the heat bloom from them
can hide your rego plate from infra-red speed cameras.

Which makes this all the more wrong,

Fark, another look and lo and behold a forest behind the trees! I'll chalk
that one up to sleep deprivation...

Completely valid point. It looks funny as :)

Aha, now you pointed it out I see it now too. I don't see what the point it? Is there some engineering/power
benefit from doing it this way? I'de like to see an explanation

You could always bolt on a muffler and header pipe to get the look.
The header bit doesnt actually have to go anywhere/do anything...

  9. Maybe the lower pipe is just a different looking pannier?

  11. , the heat bloom from them can hide your rego plate from infra-red speed cameras.
    You really believe that?

I like it **** the one off from under the seat though.

  13. Of course, you know it works better with the stock pipes, don't you? Aftermarket
pipes with their lack of "internal insulation" allow too much cooling of the
exhaust gasses, dropping the IR output in the all important 800-900nm band...

big (I hear a Staintune painted black works even better than stock!)

Yeah, but I heard that the stock pipes subvert the chaotic neutron
flux, leading to a buildup of Phlogiston if used with Optimax!

The Guzzi swingarm won't take anything wider than a 130.

  17. And have padded-out codpieces strapped to them... and mascara around the
    lens...

I took a chiq friend to see A Clockwork Orange at the Valhalla in Sydney
once. Boy howdy did that plan misfire spectacularly. At the end, she got up
and said, "I need a shower", then, "I'm not having sex with anyone ever
    again...",
