By coincidence, I'm bidding on a car with a towbar, located in Bradford.

I suspect I'll be outbid - which would be nice as T tells me she doesn't
care how practical an estate would be, it doesn't look as nice as a
hatch - but if I'm not, you could be in luck.

Being outbid would be serendipitous? You're probably right.

I've only been to Harrogate 2 or 3 times, back in the 80s, for (don't
laugh) Lingerie and Hosiery trade shows, but I remember the place as
    being "quite nice".

I've been to Pontefract a few times recently[1], & really like it.
However none of the restaurants I've tried so far take any kind of
plastic, which is a tad bizarre.

If it'll fit in the back of a Sprinter, I've got one that comes back
empty from Bradford twice a week.

  11. Heh. I went there in the 1980s for a skiing trade show.

Yes, it is nice. Lots of decent restaurants and pubs. Or there were 20
    years ago, anyway.

fair enough - but bear in mind, my job description in full was to:

    a) drive a van over from NI, full of display equipment & stockings
    b) stand around backstage for the 3 day duration of the shows drinking
free beer and watching models changing in and out of various underwear
