For those of us[1] that actually commute on the Central Line, it at
    least raised a giggle.

[1] Well, speaking for myself anyway.

For some yes.... for others, probably not....

Feel free to assign yourself a category, but don't tell us.... no one
needs to know or gives a 70's styled mullet flying fucking fandango
    really.

The town I grew up in has streets named:
    Cuvier
    Draper
    Eads
    Fay
    Girard
    Herschel

It was decades before I got the connection.

I'm not sure there' much to *get*. It's quite clever mind. I like it.

Where did you get it, Champ?

Well I'm assuming some sort of logic and/or links between the line and
station names used and the real ones. But if so then it eludes me; if
    not, then what's the point?

    Not that I can see.

But if so then it eludes me; if
Well, most of the stations lead logically to the next person on the
line. Where lines branch, for example, the comedians, I can see why
    there is a branch there.

I can't see any immediate chronological order along the lines, but you
can see (for example) the interchange between 'Comedians' and 'Film
Actors' at Tony Curtis makes sense.

    For certain values of sense.

    It's widely available.

I think my copy (which has never made it onto the wall) came from
popartuk.com but they seem to have sold out.

These are prints as in posters, obviously. If you want a lithograph
you'll need a spare six grand or so.

Gary Lineker: Footballer, saint, italian artist?

I think it's deliberate some of the connections don't entirely make
sense. The whole point of the work is to take something that's supposed
to convey useful information (the tube map) and turn it into something
    that doesn't.

Would be my take. I quite like the concept that someone *might* think
that Lineker was all those things. Hopefully it was not the creator of
the thing, though, and he's poking fun.

Well, very simplistically, the 'great bear' is a constellation of
stars.....some of those folk could be classed as 'stars' by the media?
