Undercover cop cars?

  1. Neither little nor angry.
Matter of fact, I've never been angry when dealing with 'real angry men' -
whatever they are - I don't have to be that way to give a fair account of
    myself. At all.
As for the Latin - you really could check what that sig means:)

I see you didn't address the bracket creep remark.
There was a good opportunity to 'have a go'.
    Oh well.

The traffic police in WA have been given cards that when held up to the
inside of the glass will show wether or not the film is under 35% light
    transmission.
When we tested them along side a light meter with various films they were
    very accurate.

Erm, wouldn't it come under the "unnecessary noise or smoke" rule, or
maybe "driving without due care"? Or do you cops only roll that former one
for volunteer motorcycle marshals who donate their time and resources to
support worthy charities like the MS Ride Day?

Geez you HWP cops are a spineless pack of fools with the
collective IQ of a lobotomised amoeba. Not all cops mind you, just the
    HWP.

Drive to the nearest Police station . Do not exceed the speed limit and obey
all road rules , which you would do anyway of course .If the car is still
there when you pull up at the cop shop explain your actions and most decent
cops will see your point of view , esp in light of all the carjacks
happening these days. If it still went to court for some reason you would
hope that most reasonable magistrate's will see your point of view .

  8. But at 2am at the rural back roads you just never know, worth a 10km low
speed chase? Possibly especially if the cop only wants to book me for not
putting a new rego sticker on.

I was sure a couple of years back that the then police minister was phasing
    out unmarked
cars and any area that wanted them had to justify their use, and HWP duties
was not included in that use.
Child protection was one of the few areas to be automatically exempt.

Where I reside (far south coast NSW) there are NO unmarked HWP cars at all,
only the normal marked SS and XR6T cars,
and its only when I head up towards Cooma do I find the brightly coloured
Red VY SS(same as mine), Green VY SS
    and baby shit yellow Falcon.
    Cheers

Victoria Police recently has rated all its vehicles with either a gold,
silver or bronze status. Bronze vehicles can't exceed 100kmh, silver
something like 130kmh, and gold are able to ... well ... go for gold.
Laughing point is the Victoria Police rapid response unit, whose Benz vans
    have bronze status.

Point in case is Vic Police's TOG Landcruisers. Tinted front window,
blacked out side windows, matt black colour scheme and no chrome
    anywhere.

    [snip]
I would have thought that any reasonable officer in this position
would take the individual circumstances into account and go from
there. IE, if you are a 2m 150kg male dock worker, you would get
considerably less leeway than a 1.5m 60kg female supermodel (and no,
I'm not even considering looks!). Providing you do eventually pull
over, and it's the nearest "safe" place to do so, what's the problem?

  14. Not like the Italians who are using a Lambi reportedly capable of doing 309Km/h.

No but, in victoria, speed is no longer a real problem apparently, their nazi
speed tactics have sent a message to the people and they're now actually
slowing down. So much so they're not getting as much as they would have hoped
    via the income ^H^H^H^H^H^H fines.

It'd be interesting listening to you explain to the magistrate how a vehicle
which probably has flashing red and blue lights on, driven by someone who's
probably wearing a police uniform, and who was maybe even holding up a sign
which says "POLICE STOP" didn't look like a cop car.

That story is always much better when you include the bit about riding past
    the cop at 12000rpm.

I never though of that you know?............when she indicated left and kept
swerving violently to turn right, should have been enough to trigger that
    thought earlier I guess.

Providing you are going at legal speed, and you pull over in a lighted
place with people around, such as a servo, shouldn't be a problem.

If you are speeding, or driving dangerously, or don't pull over when a
suitable area presents itself, they'll do you right and proper.

I drove with all due care as a matter of fact. The use of my horn, was in my
opinion at the time necessary and not bothering anyone anyway. On the other
hand if you're talking about motorcycles with shotgun exhaust systems or the
like that that's a problem that's always there isn't it? Tell me exactly
what happened on this particular day Dicko so I know what it is you're
    talking about.
Why thank you Dicko..........I'll recall your nice thoughts when I'm
standing over your limp body laying there between your 250cc heap of shit
and the semi that just collected you. Couldn't help myself, I have little
tolerance for little boys trying to act like grown men over the internet.
