Broken bones are not a sources of happiness for anyone, They are no
fun for the young and fit, and even less for we old farts. Mind you
though, given a choice, give me a collar bone any day in preference to
    multiple ribs and/or sternum. Ouch!!
Get well quick - best wishes to you for that.

  3. I thank you very much Betty, you are one of the true humans here
Never a harsh word to say of anyone
even if Harsh Week is not over yet.
Hope you teaching job is going well,
My grandsons have moved to Melbourne now
they said it was to get away from their new teacher, so with your pleasant
attitude, that would not have been you.

Don't be unkind. For betty, broken levers are a thing of far distant
    memory.

Gerry, I can be your enemy if it makes you feel better ;-) No, don't
thank me, that's just the sort of person I am - ever willing to help a
    fellow traveler :)

Wow - you know, GWD is quite correct! My last lever snappage was on Betty's
Bend, on the way to the Unaugural LAST year. <awed silence>. Wow. That's
almost a year! (For me, that qualifies as a distant memory!)

I think G-S was only reminding everyone of my misfortune coz he didn't have
HIS 'off' till after the Unaugural awards were handed out, and I beat him to
    the Hard Luck Award ;-P

Mmm-hmm, I'll concur with you on that. My various other broken bones
haven't given me any trouble after they've healed, but it's now been 15
years since I broke my ribs and just yesterday the cartilage decided to go
    *pop* again...

You should take off your rose coloured glasses. Betty has launched some
