The date will be Saturday 8 May 2010. For those who complained about
the full moon obscuring the stars last year, this date is 2 days after
the moon's last quarter[1]. Please mark your calendars.

Given the number of aus.motorcycles people who have colonised
aus.bicycle (Zebee, Theo, Me, Lemmiwinks, Tex, Moike, Tim +anyone else
I've forgotten), and the fact that I've done about the same number of
km aboard a bicycle this year as on a motorcycle, it seems only fair
to invite the aus.bicycle people along as well.

In short, the Unaugural is an annual gathering of aus.moto people in a
paddock on my farmlet near Tarago, NSW. Weather permitting, we have a
bonfire of sufficient size to provide a reasonable simulation of
Armageddon. There is overnight camping, awards for various
achievements (such as longest distance travelled to attend), and much
drinking of alcohol and telling of lies.

Think of it as the best parts of fishing, once one gets rid of all the
useless folderol of lines, hooks, boats, bait and water. (And fish).

For me that would be 777 km, 9 hours via Hume Fwy and Hume Hwy out
    and
779 km, 10 hours via Princes Hwy and Monaro Hwy back.

I nearly went last time... but that's a long day riding an a
relatively small sports bike. Still very tempting...

That is the reason BTH is thinking to take a telescope
So that he can spot you coming from afar.

    No it's not. 1275km in a day on a GPX250 is a long day riding on a
    relatively small sports bike. :)

    600km in a day on a CT90 wasn't too shabby, either (Mildura->Temora).

(Although now that I'm barely doing 2500km per year by motorcycle my
"match fitness" isn't up to that kind of thing any more)

Relative to a Rocket III, its a small bike,

Seriously, tho, BTH, I have two questions.

    1. Would I be welcome.

    2. What are the toilet facilities like? [1]

[1] The basic requirements of drinking alcohol and telling lies, I can
manage, but, to be perfectly honest, with the passage of time, the
quantity of alcohol drunk has diminished, and the resultant requirements
of <ahem> disposing of excess liquid has increased. <sigh>

    regards,
    CrazyCam

BTW, no I won't arrive on Z50, with Angie's car parked half a kilometre
    up the road.

What's your problem? I can see it quite clearly - start at Vancouver and
head due east for about 1300 miles, then wiggle through some foresty bit,
then down the middle of a couple of huge lakes, then through some place
called Detroit, and so on, and so forth.

Strange that the back journey appears to be the same route, but.

A very nice long-drop dunny, located above a hole freshly-dug for the
    occasion.

I can put a vase of flowers in next to the throne too, if you
    like. :)
All I can say is that Pisshead seems to have managed OK for his past
    few attendances.
Perish the thought - I'd hope that you'd at least ride the 16km from
    Tarago!

I'm sort of tempted to ride the scooter there (but either me or it would
probably die from stress on the way... more likely me!) :)
