The pub sells ice, and the petrol station/shop has an ice box out the
front too (I presume it has ice inside it, although I've never bought
any from there).

As I pointed out at one stage when we were parked the Bandit has
geometry very similar to your V-Strom and almost as much clearence.

As road bikes go it's very much an all rounder sort of thing.

The Norge is a fair bit heavier and more to the point I can't see the
front wheel, so I suspect I'll be traveling a fair bit slower than I
would on the Bandit (let alone a trail bike) [1]
