The date will be May 9, 2009. This is a week later than usual, but
happens to coincide with the full moon. Please mark your calendars.

Given the number of aus.motorcycles people who have colonised
aus.bicycle (Zebee, Theo, Me, Lemmiwinks, Tex, Moike, Tim +anyone else
I've forgotten), and the fact that I've done about the same number of
km aboard a bicycle this year as on a motorcycle, it seems only fair
to invite the aus.bicycle people along as well.

In short, the Unaugural is an annual gathering of aus.moto people in a
paddock on my farmlet near Tarago, NSW. Weather permitting, we have a
bonfire of sufficient size to provide a reasonable simulation of
Armageddon. There is overnight camping, awards for various
achievements (such as longest distance travelled to attend), and much
drinking of alcohol and telling of lies.

Think of it as the best parts of fishing, once one gets rid of all the
useless folderol of lines, hooks, boats, bait and water. (And fish).

Here are some photos from the most recent events:

Hoping to see some familiar faces, and some new ones, in 2009!

Wheeeeeeeeee, can hardly wait! Calendar duly marked. I promise no
crippledness this time - Lemmiwinks, how about you?

BTH, can I do some more crop circles this year? Let me know when the "site
prep" shenanigans are on - would love to help. I'm getting braver on gravel
    now!

If you like Betty, but unfortunately I now only have the crappy old
ride-on mower that blows more smoke than a 2-stroke...

  6. Well I have managed to get an advance leave approval, Bub isn't due a
monthe or two after. The bike will be back on the road soon, and
hopefully not broken until the Unaugral.

I even have an over sized tent which the neices wouldn't sleep in
....... never been used, so this could be a good chance to test it :)

BT, do you require any assistance in the preparation? I will do my
best to give a hand if you need....

  11. How are you gonna do a tri-state ride in Tassie? :)

We're in Launceston - chuck an email with a contact number, and we'll
try and catch up for ride/beer/food.

Do you ever get any "pure" cyclists?

As it turns out I'm likely to be in the area, but I'll need to bring the Volvo
    as well as the cycle...

"pure" as in.... without sin? <snigger> Does anybody ever go to the
Unaugural in that pure state? Aeeek (did I spell that right?) has been at
all the Unaugurals I've been to - and on a treadley, not a motorbicycle...

Eeek, Tomasso, if you're going to bring the Volvo, please publicise your
time of travel and your ETA so that we can be in different places at
different times... I don't have a very good track record with Volvos, hee
    hee!
