It's on now-ish, right???? I went on an MRAACT ride yesterday, and at the
meeting point there were bloody bikers everywhere, from several different
groups! It was so hard to figure out where to park my bike <grin>...

Is the number of aus.moto posts going to decrease because of the number of
Ulysseans heading for Coffs? Hellooooo, Goaty????

Oh is that what it was.

On the way back from the Budgie once I got onto the New England I saw
heaps of big tourers with pillions heading North. Many with trailers
too. I wouldn't be suprised if a number of the 4WDs were support
    vehicles....

    It sure is about now-ish.

There will be no interruption to normal posts on aus.moto because,
although quite a number of us are either U.C. members, or qualified to
be members, most of us don't want to ride about with a bunch of old
    farts. :)

    regards,

I rode up to Coffs a couple of weekends ago and the pubs were crowded
enough then. Hate to be waiting for a beer when there are an extra 7000
    people in town.

I was invited to join as a junior member in 1983. I thought naaahh, why
would I want to join a Sydney-based club of a few dozen old farts, when I
was going back to Perth the following month.

    Still haven't joined.

Went to an AGM once - Nuriootpa (Moike will understand). Ran the website
for the Geelong AGM. No desire to do it again! Too many Ulysses wankers.

    Cheers

As opposed to all the bike groups that are wanker-free...?

I went to a couple of meetings, but I reckon I'm getting intolerant in my
old age (and not even a full-member!) - the antics reminded me of a naughty
Yr 8 class... (nothing like aus.moto, of course <grin>) The difference is, I
can choose what I want to read/not read in aus.moto in my own time - at the
Ulysses meetings when I'm tired after work, two hours of everyone trying to
out-smartarse everyone else and holding things up just seems like a waste of
    good relaxation-time.

Stuff the meetings, just go on the rides...............I know our group is
about the same at meetings............but get them out on our regular rides
and we usually have a great weekend/day ride away............

Start an MCA (Vic) chapter in ACT...At least they have some decent punchups
    to punctuate the monotony.

  14. So-o-o-o-o. You're saying you have a great time riding with people you
can't bear to talk to. No wonder we all wear helmets! :)

Not quite that bad, they aren't a bad lot really, just meetings seem to
bring out the worst in people, once you get them on their bikes and into the
pubs after, all that inane petty crap that goes on at meeting seems to be
forgotten and the focus is on having a good time............
