My hearing was damaged by wearing open-face helmets I think, so those
psychosis-inducing frequencies pass me by (the voices say they do,
    anyway).

Mine was wrecked by too many years commuting on motorways without ear plugs.
Noisy as hell AGV helmets didn't help either. One thing it has made my
hearing is hypersensitive to certain frequencies, and guess what niggles.
Along with certain ink jet printers ( which scream staccato ) and
televisions with ageing high voltage circuits.

    (irritating noises)
Something in my computer system sometimes produces a high-pitched sort
of resonating noise, and I have to kick it to make it stop for a while.

  8. Can you give the brand names of the Good & the Bad - just so that I know
    what to avoid?

    Thanks,
    Steve.

That's the one I got. Even with a drop of washing up liquid in and two
shots at it, it didn't improve my bass strings at all.
