Ive got a puncture a slowey on my front tyre, I've found the spot and
its a very fine line. When i replaced the rear It was recommended I put
ultraseal in. Now is it too late to do this NOW! in the front.
What is it like after a puncture is it reliable stuff or a waste of a
    tenner?

    No, it's not.
Never had to try it out for real myself, but our friendly local mechanic
used to swear by the stuff.

    Heh, but "by", not "at".

It tends to just spread itself over the inside of the tyre, and doesn't
seem to end up on the wheel itself.

IIRC, I /think/ that in the case of a larger hole/gash/whatever, the
Ultraseal stuff will "weep" from the hole, so you should notice it and
be able to make a decision on whether the tyre is safe to continue
using. No idea for other sealants - most of them I wouldn't let anywhere
    near my tyres, anyway.
Yes, you can fatigue plastic. But I don't think the Ultraseal stuff ever
completely sets or hardens, so that shouldn't be a problem.
Try folding your credit card in half.

Is it similar stuff to that green "Gunk" (Slime?) you can get from
    Argos for push bike tyres?

    *shrug*

Why would anyone bother with quick repair stuff for pushbike tyres? Just
slap your spare inner tube in, and repair the damaged one when you get home.

Well, the previously mentioned trusty mechanic even used it to stop a
slow puncture in his geet big van, so it definitely works.
I went through a spate of getting them regularly, but haven't had one
for ages - I think carrying a puncture repair kit has a shielding effect.
    See? Plastic fatigue. QED.

So how are they different then? They do exactly the same thing.

One is thin green and slimy. One is thick, red and thixotropic
As for a performance comparison, well the red one certainly seals
    punctures on a gixxer thou.

I have kept the puncture outfit under the seat. When I get a puncture I
want to know I have a puncture.

That said, I've only ever had one puncture in 26 years of riding and
that was on the day I delivered my old ZX-9R to Beelzebub in April this
    year.

Oh yeah, like I've never fallen off or broken a bone before. I'd rather
have had 23 punctures instead of the broken bones tyvm.

I've had loads of bloody punctures. The most notable, in Helmsdale,
cost me a weekend of shagging. I'd been grooming her for a year.

I can't say about the front because it's only just worn to where it
needs replacing and I haven't got it done yet, but when I replaced the
rear it had nothing in it.

Ive got a puncture a slowey on my front tyre, I've found the spot and its
I have always sworn by ultra-seal too

When I got my CBR6RR I was told to only use it in the rear tyre ( can't
remember the reasons prob cost of balancing or something) and NOT in the
    front!

Just extracted a screw from the rear last night & ultra seal held it firm.

Doing a trackday next month so I bouhgt new BT014's front and back because I
hated the Dunlop 218's the bike came with, and not cos of the screw-hole!

    Its a tenner well spent
