Ultraseal availability in the South

  1. It can be positively dangerous to use.
You stupid, self-centred, ignorant little pustule. Who are you to say
what the charter was intended to control or ordain?

The charter forbids commercial posts. If you want this ng to be a morass
of commercial advertisements, you're in a minority. As someone else
pointed out, ukrm gets precious few twats touting their products,
srervices, scams, schemes or frauds because they know they get *very*
    short shrift here.

And there would be "mass-mailing" if ignorant twats like you got their
    way.

And what rule is that, pray?
If it isn't in the charter, it's permitted. Got it, you brain-dead
    self-righteous pompous goit?

Grimly Curmudgeon was seen penning the following ode to ... whatever:
Don't do your back in, he ain't worth it.

Is it worth asking why? I would genuinely like to know.
That's more like it! I was beginning to lose may faith in UKRM there for
    a while.
If you read what I said, you'll see it was a question, not a statement.
I don't, which is why I said later in my post I thought the non-
commercial rule was basically a good thing. What I disagree with is the
way certain people use no common sense or discretion when replying to
people who break the rule, and the inconsistent way in which it is
    applied.

On the one hand it's a hard & fast rule that will result in concerted
efforts to harm that person's business, on the other hand it's something
that will be met with a few humorous replies and a warning not to do it
again. I think commercial posts that have nothing to do with UK
motorcycling should result in much toasting of accounts. But if it is
genuinely related, then call them a ****, give them the charter & FAQ
links, & tell them to **** off and not do it again. If they repeat, THEN
    toast the fucker.

If I thought the rule itself was garbage, I would setup a dummy account
    & post something to publicise my own site. But I haven't, & I won't,
because I agree with rule. Like I said, it's just the inconsistency &
over zealous enforcement I don't agree with.
This, frankly, is utter bollocks. If you seriously think the marketing
men of the world quiver in their boots & break out in cold sweats at the
thought of UKRM, you are seriously deluded, and need to get out more. No
    really, you do.
Err... I think you know that. Or are you just being pedantic about my
    use of the word "rule"?
Ah, right. Think I've got it now. So if your post contravenes the
charter (commercial post or binary - nothing else) then it's not
permitted. Although it doesn't say what the penalty will be, which is
just as well as it varies depending on whether you're a regular or not.

If it isn't in the charter, it's permitted. So quoting entire messages,
top-posting etc are all fine. I think you need to read the UKRM FAQ,
particularly the section on netiquette. You should be able to find it
using your favourite search engine, although you may find an old copy
which claims to be the latest version, & apparently doesn't say anything
    about top-posting.

If you wish to further debate any of the points I've made, I'll be happy
to listen to your arguments. However if you're just going to return to
your Ladybird Book of Insults, I won't be taking any notice. I would
however still like to know why preventative tyre sealant can be
dangerous, if you can spare the time.

Ah right. Very good point. So being a bit anal about checking your tyres
for damage would be a good plan if you use it.

That is true. And after 342 miles of mainly Welsh B roads, a fucking
    knackered **** at that.
