My friend is driving back from the Pyranees today. She has just
called me to check on road conditions from Dover up to Staffordshire.
Please could anyone on this route let me know what the roads are like
    in your area?

    Thanks

    Steph

They're a bit stand offish and sinister if you ask me.

The M42 and M5 round Birmingham are clear and mostly dry.
There was a big crash on the M6 late last night but I think the blockage is
    further north than staffordshire

Sussex, a couple of counties to the left of Dover I'll admit, but
still on the south coast. No settled snow here, sunny but damp.

I'm between the Pyranees and Staffordshire. Here the roads are a little
like the pavements, except that they have cars on them.

  10. It was somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the
drugs began to take hold. I remember (Steph)
    saying something like:
Rough and humpy with gravel highlights.
