ukrm seti: should I be worrioed?i

  1. It has been running for about three weeks now and hasn't fallen over,
this is concerning to say the least.

I've noticed also that units are taking another 15% or so to complete,
is there something they are not telling us?

    No, compared to itself.

When #I first installed it on this machine about 3-4 months ago it was
running a unit in around 3.5 hours, all the current ones are going out
    at 4 hours.

    Greetings Earthling <beep>

We have finally got the low speed 56 tera-bit link to your puny
Planet-LAN running slowly enough at your end to actually allow us to
    read your data archives <beep>

Unfortunately we have to use your amusing SETI application to handle
    the down-conversion and buffering <beep>

We apologise for any loss of performance that you may experience as a
    result <beep>
