[0] Actually, speaking of fast-ish computers - I installed the original
Unreal Tournament on my laptop the other day. ****, it's a bit fast -
had to knock the game speed down to 50% to make it playable. What's up
with that, then?

 

Do you have the "Turbo" setting enabled? That's about three times
normal speed.

Or you're out of practice and you have slowed down to 1/3 of what you
once were.

Not knowingly. Can't really check at the moment - I'll have a look later.

I'm slower than I was, but not /that/ slow.

 

I didn't do all the arithmetic but I think I was getting a similar ratio
throughput. I don't understand how the credits work though but so long as
the results accrue. I may have confused the back end now because I got lazy
and copied the entire BOINC folder from one machine to another and set it
running and it has now got confused about the number of units done by which
computer.
