UKRM Run 2010

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Cab, May 2, 2010.

  1. Using the patented Mavis Beacon "Hunt&Peck" Technique, Tim
Clocks set from the Berlin radio signal, or a GPS receiver would do the
    job adequately.

Indeed so, anyway for the level of accuracy they need the network time
protocol is probably good enough. Then all you need is a UUID for each
ticket and a messaging system (e.g. MQ) and you could get a response
from the thing in a very short time.

Heh, just remembering that I avoided a fine last time as I went past the
speed camera van at 50mph watching my fuel gauge flickering. That female
gendarme at the tolls was quite sexy but I was glad not to be pulled over.

The rain would have made the ride home just too much of a slog. Now I've
got the EXO2 heated gear the cold isn't an issue.

To be quite honest I would still have enjoyed going.

Yes but not over a 3 day period for me again, if I do. Which is unlikely. A
extra 2 days or more made it more pleasurable from locations Norvern.

That's what stopped me this time, couldn't go down South on the Thursday
because of my wifes 50th. I suppose I could have stayed sober and gone
first thing Friday but it'd still have been a challenge to get to the
hotel on time. Also extremely unlikely that I would have been able to
stay sober when spending quality time with the family ;-)

Still debating Chimay as I'd like to keep some holidays to go somewhere
    hot and welcoming this summer.

I expect the addition of extra very fine dust in the upper atmosphere will
make Norn Europe wetter this years so that's a pretty good call.

Asia is nice I hear ;o)

Scotland would be an excellent idea. No ferries to catch/pay for.
But Colin would have to underwrite the weather.

I'd love to do Scotland, particularly a whisky tour.
Well, there would be for some.
Yeah, like that's going to happen.

and of course, they wouldn't be TOG tours any more. CAP tours?

The Glenfiddich tour was fun. There is (was?) a nice greasy spoon just
down the road too. It came in very handy when Anne kindly elected to
drive and I drank her freebies. The fry-up dealt with the alcohol very
    well.

Oh no, I think they should remain TOG tours.

Why ? To make sure it rains like all the other French runs ?
