Still the same rules. You can be fucked over even if you never receive
    an NIP.

    Try riding with two Ducatis.

Fill up, thrash 60 miles up the Autoroute at "interesting" speeds and
then stop to fill up again!

  5. The notice of intended prosecution of the person, not the person of a
    specific address.

Suppose it's sent back Registered by a friendly neighbour marked "No longer
    at this address"

Then when they eventiually did catch up with you you'd stand to be
done for not having the correct registered keeper details on the
    vehicle.

Then I'd expect your number plate to go onto the ANPR database so they
can stop you next time you pass a police car.

You're just fiddling the system as it's not like your vehicle isn't
really permanently used on the mainland.

Obviously I'm trying to beat the fucking system. Doh.

It's not as if there isn't a *viable* alternative.

Heh, avoidance of the autoroute average speed tax ;-)

Your comment hints at something mentioned in the thread. Have they started
    timing people on the AR?

Naah, but it must be about time for the myth to raise its head
    again...

Given that the Vichy French seem to be taking over I expect it's only a
    matter of time anyway.
It would be so simple to reprogram their billing system such that it gets
progressively more expensive at the toll booth depending on how quickly you
    have travelled.

Only if all the toll booths, and the several motorway operators,
implemented a timed, synchronised and calibrated system. Be expensive
to do, and not likely to happen anytime soon, unless they were allowed
    to keep the fines themselves...

They only need to mention The Children and you have a ready made
    justification.
It only needs to be done at the cheap, easy and obvious sections after all.

I'd bet a ton that some buzy little bees are working on such a thing.

Synchronisation is a doddle. I bet they could do it for far less expense
    than what you're thinking.

You don't even need to mention the children anymore, just the income.

Betting you are glad not to have hacked down to France last weekend.
    Weather being as it was!
