#1 son was at Silverstone yesterday playing around in some stripped out
    MX5s.

'Cos I had a camera with a long lens on it I was promoted to "event
photographer" and given a bib so I could go wherever I wanted.

Flippin' freezing, dark, miserable day it was.

Considering I wasn't really that prepared and had no notice at all, I
was reasonably pleased with the results:

I've not used Skydrive before so not sure if you have to log in.

Yup Stowe. I didn't even know it existed. The building work in the
background you can see in some shots is the new pitlane/start/finish
    complex. Huge it is.

Just wait until Tuesday[1], and you'll have a new monthly quota.

Plus, did you reduce the size before uploading? I was caught out with
that before. You can upload a full res 5MB file, but because you're on
the free version, it'll shrink the uploaded photo. So you get about 20
    uploads per month.

If you shrink first (I use a batch processor), then the files drop to much
smaller sizes, and you'll be able to upload a shit load more.

[1] I *think* it's done by calendar month.

Thank you, much appreciated coming from you.

I like the DOF too, I wish I could say it was intended but my focussing
was all over the place and I just got lucky with that one. That would
be my usual 1 in 400 success rate of the day. The guy in focus is the
one who organises the ma5da racing series so I'm sure he'll like it.

I just thought I'd try the magazine slopy stylee in post editing, I
wouldn't want to have to do many like that though it does break up an
    otherwise series of not-quite-so-interesting shots.

I'm at the 200 photo max. I've only really used Flickr to post the odd
thing here and there (I have my own private self-hosted site for
everything else) - but I may reconsider and use Flickr as a backup for
    everything.

Very atmospheric. Don't seem to be getting very much out of shape
though, presumably because they are proper racers on decent tyres.

I went there in 95 on the Nordwest. You can imagine what fun that was
round there, much more so than on the club circuit. Surtees was warming
up and checking out an MV (I did him on the brakes in to the hairpin)
and some other chap a Gilera 4 ready for the Italia 95 parade the next
day, which was on the GP circuit and no fun at all because I had to act
    as a travelling marshal.
