It’s a fair point and certainly not the first time it’s been raised on
this user group. It's just that I don't really check things or more
importantly get other people to “chek wat i rit”. Quite frankly, I
don't see it as *that* important. Very often when I’m typing I’m
already composing my next reply and press send, when I read what I’ve
written I think to myself “you’ve done it again you silly bitch”[1].
I've always struggled with my grammar and just get a mental block but
it seldom detracts from the content though. When I got my A-Level in
English my teacher wrote "either worked hard or cheated". When I put
my mind to it I can write passably well and to be fair better than a
lot of people, it’s just that I really don’t try. It’s probably a bit
like a carpenter’s house with shelves hanging off the walls. It doesn’
    t mean he’s a crap carpenter.

Likewise people who tie in feral apostrophe’s with ability are really
quite shallow. Especially people who make the connection based on the
evidence they see on a usergroup. I can accept and indeed welcome
criticism from people I know on this group who have demonstrated
abilities other than just sniping but I do get tired of some people
who are shallow. The sad fact is that I have struggled all my life
with many things and still do but I have still achieved a reasonably
measure of success despite myself. Even going through what I am right
now I’m determined to make a success of it and not detract for one
second my ultimate goal. This single mindedness has been my driving
force throughout my life, whether it’s been to make a million, build a
    wall or crash well.

I know bad grammar can be irksome so I will try and do more betterer.

[1] Yes I’ve always thought of myself as a silly bitch.

Yeah but I have always harboured nagging doubts about being an

Actually I don't know. It was some time ago but it's worth a look. I
might just try and find something tomorrow. A lot of papers were
published in the Institute of Engineers, I had one published in the
Lancet, a few with the Royal Society on Astronomy.

Well, I don't even know if the Institue of Engineers still exists.

There are several institutions (IEE, IChemE, IMechE etc.) but the only
"Institute" I found in a swift Google was the Cornish Institute of
    Engineers.

Which Institution do you belong to?

Do you mean in Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society?
'cause they are online via the blackwell publishing website.

Yes I did some research into the Myelin Sheath of a neuron that
insulate the axon from electrical activity and how it related to
newborns. I compared it to a "node accelerator" which led on to cot
death syndrome. Babies are sometimes born without this sheath being
fully developed. However nothing really came out of it. Not even a
    packet of crisps.

Ah! I only knew them as the IEEIE; the IMechIE and your crowd weren't
ones I came across (if you'll excuse the phrase).
