I'm 6 foot 3 and fairly slim built. I was a 34 inch waist until not
so very long ago. In fact, when I left uni in 99 I was a 32.

Main reason why I need a 36 waist isn't actually for the waist, it's
for the thighs. I'm probably 34-35 inch waist but trousers that size
have very slim legs, certainly too slim if you're a cyclist. So I
need the bigger ones so I don't look like I'm wearing a pair of
    tights.

What do you want this time Champion? Anyway it's AndrewR that's
    infallible.
If you'd read the book first you would have found youself muttering,
grumbling and eventually shouting at the cinema screen.

I knew it was going to be bad, but didn't think they'd take such
    liberties with the ending.

    Soon, my pretty, soon.

Until that day I take pride in my iggyrance.

The capital of Uruguay is Ben-is-aries; bees fly backwards; it's impossible
to divide 7 by 3; nobody has ever seen a duck land; 93% of Chinese males are
called "John" and live in Soho; Gladstone was the last prime-minister to
play both cricket and football at an international level; there is no
Russian word for "Wednesday"; the first film banned in Britain was about
cheese; only 0.05% of all male Internet users have done a search for
"Jennifer Aniston naked"; International Time Zones were invented by Rudyard
Kippling; none of Shakespeare's plays use the word "king"; in the original
"Tom & Jerry" cartoons the voice of Tom was provided by Glenn Miller; in New
Hampshire it is illegal to pretend to be Canadian for the purpose of
    soliciting money.

Ahh. Muscle on the legs. I'm 6'4" and have the opposite problem. My

The Eussian for "Wednesday" is "sryeda" (phonetic spelling)
Can't argue with the rest of it, tho.

    Oh, nothing.
Well, I'm glad I didn't in that case. But did the book break your
heart too, or are you too much of an ice-queen for that?

You learn something new every day.

Yesterday I learned that you should learn to juggle using soft balls and not
    steak knives.

Ah, it was all made up except for one fact ... unless we've all shifted into
    a one of them Parry-lell You-nee-verses.

    You're not fooling anyone anymore.
    I'm watching you.
My date had been pre warned.
It certainly caused bruising and mild lacerations.
Whatever gives you the impression I'm an ice queen?

That would be the one about pretending to be Canadian unless I'm wrong.

It would be the equivalent of juggling chainsaws lying on a guillotine.

Which bit would you lie on? Because, if you were on the wooden bit
above the blade then, providing you had suitable padding, strong
muscles and basic juggling skills, I don't see the problem.
Which ones? He's had the snip.

You've got this surreal thing down to a fine art now.

Well in my book juggling chainsaws comes under the chapter "Don't Try This
At Home", which unfortunately comes after the chapter "How To Build A
Guillotine". That was a waste of time I can tell you.
Gah! Only Des calls me surreal when he can't come up with anything useful.
