  2. Snow White?

Who was the actor in Time Bandits who killed himself
as he was depressed about only getting small parts?

    "Don't Look Now"
    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0069995/

Does 1975 count as modern? (It does in my world)

I really enjoyed it at the cinema.

I found some bits, quite inexplicably, pant wettingly funny - "Look how
    drunk she is"

Heh, remember watching this on either terrestrial TV or video after the
pub about 20 years ago. v.strange.
Interesting book. Not a patch on the Tales of the City series though.

I liked the film, but just didn't expect a "documentary with
reconstruction" type movie. Of course, it's never as good as the book.

Talk to Her is great. Haven't seen the other two, but can recommend
Woman on the Edge of a Nervous Breakdown and Tie Me Up, Tie Me Down.

And, on the subject of post-Franco spanish cinema, Jamon Jamon by
Bigas Luna (what a great name) is a scream. Any film that has two
naked men beating each other to death with cured hams as the denoument
    gets my vote.

Cheers, I'll take a look at those.
Oh, I like foreign films, don't worry about that.

I found this one strangely unfulfilling. Not sure if it wanted to be
French or Hollywood, IYSWIM, either way it missed both.

Premise was a bit Alistair Maclean.

Festen's excellent, in a "Dogme but not shit" kind of way.

    Goodbye Lenin was hugely entertaining.

Can't think of any other funny foreign stuff I've seen for a while.

I'll give this one a whirl.
    Seen and enjoyed.
I quite like most Coen brothers stuff. I don't think I've seen this
    though.
I own this on DVD, but I haven't seen it yet.
Indeed. I need to sit with two browsers open, to imdb and to amazon.
    Later will do.
