OK, I'm fascinated - One of the words was a proper noun which, we must
assume, Steve can manage to spell.

One of the "words" was only a single letter.

Which of the words, "There", "Is", "No", "Fucking" or "In" did you feel the
    need to check?

I forgive you but you should know, by way of reference to your original
post to what I replied to that I was watching a little snippette of
video with me on it today and me and the superintendent both agreed how
fetchin' I was looking these days.

It should be an exclamation mark after, "Oi" and not a full stop.

    HTH, HAND, FOADYOG, etc.

I'm sure you'll find there is work in progress on the part of our dear
beloved Sorby, who has produced a storyboard sequence of sketches with
each month's proposed design. AFAIK The photographing is ongoing and
the plan is to have something produced and for sale in time for the New
    Year.

I'd better start by announcing that my recent flurry of enthusiasm for
a UKRM Calendar was severely supressed by a distinct lack of interest
    by the ng's denizens.

I had several emails from willing photographers but far less from
    willing subjects.

Unfortunately my personal life took over and, amongst other things,
the arrival of our latest son prevented me from putting much needed
    time into the calendar effort.

When I get home at the weekend I'll email you all the
    info/suggestions/quotes I got.

I should warn you that to do the calendar properly (not to mention in
time for 2004) will take an awful lot of commitment and support from
the newsgroup. If you don't have these two things then the end
    product won't be worth 50p , let alone 500p.

    Good luck

  10. Indeed - it seems even this time round, there are probably in the region
of 20-30 people who may be interested. I know from past experience that
won't be enough to bother doing a print run.
Indeed - par for the course.
Both valid reasons - we knoe DFV'ing is only just the right side of
    being a thankless task.
well, perhaps it's worth conglomerating those into a posting and getting
some form of opinions? I still think the numbers we're talking about are
200% less than would make it feasible/worthwhile
For sure - and it seems like it won't be there in terms of desire to
    have or help out.

  14. Actually, that idea isn't so silly, in fact, I could venture 1 step
further, I have a contact with a seriously good colour printer.

That could be a feasible way of doing short runs.
