UKRM Calendar - CFV

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Doesnotcompute, Sep 15, 2003.

  1. Purpose: Establish feasibility of a hardcopy UKRM calendar.
Method: Reply to this post only with Yay or Neigh.

Question: in principle do you want a UKRM calendar and will you part
    with shekels for the privilege?

YAY or NEIGH - no ifs or maybes at this time

You might want to check with Sorby first - I believe he has actually done
    some work on this already.

  6. I hadn't even thought of shekels going to charidee - I meant cost
covering shekels. However if a requirement to charge a bit more and make
a charidee donation is favourable, then why the bloody hell not.

My thoughts entirely, NABD or another suitable ukrm backed charity would
    be my choice.

I'd tend towards TeamUKRM, myself. Shedloads has been lashed out this
year and every little bit of support helps, you know. Unless somebody
<looks around> wants to undertake another run of Tshirts ( for which
there has been three enquiries regarding recently) and put those funds
    the team's way ...

I would buy it deffo, as long as I don't have to be in it.

Money going to charidee is also a good idea.

  10. Nah that lot can come later - all I want is a general concensus of
whether we're talking 10 people interested or 250.

The designs and arguements and likeiwse will no dout [1] ensue.

Comrade, the Chair has made a ruling. You should be well aware you must
have three of your colleagues, standing, to challenge this.

And that it would require a two-thirds majority to be carried....

If the Calender is like the film then yep i'd purchase one?

only met the one so far. Hmmmm Elly on a calender!!!!!!

Might get her indoors to pose as well.....on the SP1 of course.

  16. Maybe - you haven't named a price. I'm not giving a definite "yes" if
    it's gonna cost 50 quid a copy.

Could do, but let's be under no illusions as to the earning potential of such
a scheme. When I did the first T shirt run we made £210 from the sale of 165
    shirts. *165* - That's a whole shitload (I know, I packed 'em) and there's no
way we could sell nearly so many again as a lot of the demand has already been
satisfied (there's also been a team URKM T shirt run since then).

OK, we could raise the mark up (last time I sold at, IIRC £8 for a T and £12
for a polo), but how many people would be put off by the higher asking price?
The experience last time was also that very few people chose to round their
cheque up to a higher figure, and is Team UKRM going to rouse more charitable
    instincts than the NABD did?

Like I said, if people really want some, I could do it again - I still have
the bank account in place - but at the end of the day would £100 or so make
any difference to team UKRM? Champ, I believe that might be your cue.

    Another non-starter.

Give it up, before you spend any time on it and don't
    deliver it.

    That's a no.
