Being a beginner I want the going market value for a bike so that I know
how high to bid. I'm looking for websites displaying average price for
    used bikes.

  12. Look, dimwit, one needs to know rather more than this.

Like are these bikes you're trying to sell, or are they being offered,
or are you looking for a trade-in value, or a private sale, or is a
dealer trying to sell them, and where in the country are they (makes a
difference), what mileage, condition, any mods, extras, number of
    owners, state of the consumables.....

Put it this way - a thirteen year-old DT125 could be worth anything
between three hundred quid and a grand, depending on the above.

And what the hell the Dennis the Menace stuff means, I have no idea.

I'll get back to later, but that's how the Ad was placed in a London
paper (Dennis The Mennice And Gnasher and all!) and the sellers phone
    goes unanswered hence the querie!!!
Seeing I'm a first time buyer just passed my CBT the other day u may
call me a dimwit that's why I'm seeking advice from the experts in this
    group.
Just a note... which part of the Country would it be cheaper to buy
    from?

  14. Oh, Jesus.... it depends on the bike. Look, for an example, dirt bikes
tend to be cheaper in Wales because there are more of them there....

And from the sound of the advert I'd avoid like the plague. I really,
    really would.
