I'm not convinced. It's not the main price that's changing, it's the
cost of an additional service (roaming data) that doesn't form part of
    the main contract.

The contract will certainly give them the ability to change their
prices, just not the fixed monthly cost.

That's a bit harsh coming from the person who decided against coming
    with us this weekend.

It's not too late to book it and you can use my bike for a couple of
    hours so where's the hardship?

We're spending Saturday destroying our bikes around Walter Arena in
    S.Wales.

You can turn up on Saturday at the Touratech HQ and book it for £15 if
any places are left. We're camping Friday & Saturday nights so expect
rows about whether or not we can burn trees.

That's my take on it too. Not to mention the cost of getting there and
back. And being surrounded by the kind of people who go large on
    Touratech kit. In Wales.

The chance to go mental off road all day. There are other more boring
things like assessed rides & guided trail riding but can you really see
    Steve & I doing that?
Have you never heard of asking Steve if you can have a few blasts on one
of his? He's taking both off road bikes and you could have an hour or
two on that heavy beast of mine.

Look, He knows he wants to go and I know he wants to go so he should
just admit it and turn up.

I can even book him in tomorrow afternoon when I get there so all he
has to do is get up on Saturday morning and drive over. The hardest oart
    will be getting permission.

Mobile internet is now free until 1st July (100MB per day limit). If
you have a £10 or higher "goodybag" it is, AIUI, completely unlimited
but with the restriction that it's only for phone use (no iPads or
    tethering).

As you're looking for >500MB, that suggests it still won't be any use
to you because I can't imagine staring at a 3" screen for long enough
    to burn through 500MB.

It is always easier to get forgiveness than permission.

OK, it is *usually* easier to get forgiveness than permission.

No, you just sneaked out when she'd gone shopping and got there too late
    to have a go.

I resisted the temptation to leave last night and stop at Steves and
thought I'd made the right choice when it brightened up nicely this
morning. Then it pissed down just after I left and carried on like that
for 75 miles. My old cordura waterproof trousers aren't waterproof
anymore so once the sun was out and i was confident it wouldn't rain
again I stopped at the side of the road, changed into a pair of jeans,
had a smoke and a bottle of lager then carried on home.

All I need to do now is get my gear off the bike, hose it down and then
consider whether or not to buy yet another motorbike.

We both stopped but Steve did suggest that we might be better to head
for his place but the forecast as for better weather today and I didn't
    fancy getting a good soaking.
I'd have been ok if I'd either taken decent cordura trousers or a pair
of lightweight over trousers but I took old kit because I knew I'd end
up lying down in the mud.
