I am very happy with it for a touch under $70 and thought I would spread
the good word for those not wanting to have a GPS setup (stolen) and have a
mobile/pocket pc similar to my O2 Atom.
Very basic features compared to GPS though better than lugging the book
    around.

Thank you very kindly for your Spam. I find that, unless you have a GPS
built into your dash, the book is indeed bette. And then, sometimes it still
is better than the GPS. And the easiest and quickest way to look up a phone
number is still the flip-up phone card index on my desk.

    Is this aus.motorcycles, aus.desks or aus.idiots?
Where else have I posted this message?
I am happy with MY purchase and thought I would share the good word in
case there are others out there that don't see the need in a dedicated
GPS unit. I don't even use GPS as I can follow a map.
What can we talk about here?
Have you published a set of rules so as I don't upset you both again?
Maybe you should google before you post.

    Snip.....

E-mail spam is a subset of spam that involves sending nearly identical
messages to numerous recipients by e-mail.

Spam is e-mail that is both unsolicited by the recipient and sent in
substantively identical form to many recipients. Thus, a common synonym
for spam is unsolicited bulk e-mail (UBE). Some definitions of spam
specifically include the aspects of email that is unsolicited and sent
    in bulk

    End snip.

The GPS doesn't work on pocket pc, you need to install some other program
to get that going with the ubd maps.
There was a little trick getting the maps working though, the tips file
says to rename the memorey card "SD Card" or soemthing but I was not able
to change the name of my memorey card so I just named a folder "SD Card"
    and all worked fine.

Neither do I, though some times I take calls while on the road and this is
why I don't use GPS on my mobile, the Bluetooth is used for the earpiece.

Now when I get to my destination I may want to make some calls and it is
not practical to carry an address book, Melway and mobile/desk so.....

I have a mobile that stores all numbers for personal and business as well
as a built in camera/video, a universal inferred remote, synchs the news
from several sources should I have time to kill, goes online to bank and to
check the radar for rain and it now has the UBD for all the capital cities
    and a lot in between.

    Welcome to the new millennium.

    Ah,yes, but...you need a Guzzi, you do.

That way it _would_ be practical to haul around all sorts of shit with you.

As long as he doesn't need a kitchen sink. That's still BMW
    territory.
