Mainly for a 25 mile each way commute, which is made up of 30mph limit
for 3 miles, then NSL A road for approx 9 miles onto a dual carriageway
4 miles long, NSL country lanes[1] for the remainder of the journey with
a mile and a half of 30 limit at the end. Bear in mind that my journey
starts at 8-30am when the roads are packed with cars and trucks and I
have 30 minutes to get to work 25 miles away. I am rarely late.

There is a 4 mile section that is the bumpiest road I have ever ridden
on. It is so bad that I cannot ride the Thunderace at anything over
100mph down one 2 mile straightish bit, because the back wheel is
kicking right off the ground off the bumps and spinning up on landing
and the bars are flapping uselessly from side to side. Flat out on the
CeeBee is an experience, because it's touch and go if you'll end up in
either ditch over the bumpy bits.

The twisy bits are sublime though, I can do those pretty much flat out
on the Honda, until I get to a pair of 90 degree S bends just before the
    last village.

[1] Similar to the 4011 on the Botafot route

I can picture your mental grin as you thoroughly enjoy it every single
    morning!

That would be the stretch leading up towards the prison from Bawtry.
I've been along that bit regularly when I was heading to the M180 from
my old workshops in Harworth. I never took the bike up there, but it
would set my van into a fore and aft rocking motion

No, I just know that you're not quite right in the head (in a good
    way).

    Is it that obvious?

Do you perhaps need to talk to spike about leaving tyres in a puddle of
    brake fluid?

Just a thought, but the fact that your patch is on the left side of the
tread, and assuming you leave your bike on its side stand, did you
perhaps stand it in something that ate the contact patch away?
