  1. Here I am, rock you like a hurricane

    Hi all,
in a beer induced moment last night i bought a 91 CBR1000 of ebay, same
model as the one i owned a few years ago. The original was a good beast, if
heavy, but did ok on long distance trips. I used to use Metzler sportec
M1's, excellent rubber and very grippy, but now Im living in a flatter place
(mount Isa QLD) and longer distance rides are more the order of the day.
Some guys i ride with often do mount is-darwin and return in a weekend or 3
    days.

Any ideas for rubber? Obviously Im like every other selfish bastard out
there, i want to get 20,000 clicks out of a rear and not have to worry about
wearing it flat in the middle, but also want it to have enough grip to find
my sliders without sliding. Im more after good value than cheap prices...

    Suggestions?

    Thanks,
    Shaun

I get 15k out of Maxxiss tyres on my CBR1000f and that is riding very
hard with lots of high speed riding. They are great alround tyre.

come and say hi on the CBR1000f forum
