    Hi,
a friend of mine, travelling from the continent to Scotland, is likely to
need a change of tyres on his way. Configuration:
    BMW R1200 GS Adventure 2008
    - Front: 110/80 R19 M/C (59V) TL
    - Rear: 150/70 R17 M/C (69V) TL
    --> Metzeler Tourance EXP

He will stay for a few days not far from Shepherds Bush, do you have any
place to recommend? I used to go to Motorcycle Service Centre in
Harrow Rd when I used to live there, anything else in the area?

    Thanks,
    F

I pretty much always use FWR [1] on Kennington Road. Just south of the
river, rather than on his doorstep in Shepherds Bush, but possibly worth
    the detour.

I've used a branch of this firm (Witney) but they have places inside the
    M25. http://www.merityre.co.uk/find_a_centre.htm

If he wants a particular brand of tyre then I recommend he contacts the
supplier to check stock. The most popular tyres tend to get in short supply
at this time of year. I know Continental Road Attacks in R-GS sizes are on
    back order until next month.

I suggest he registers (free) on www.ukgser.com and puts a request for help
on there if he has trouble.

If he gets stuck I have a brand new set of Tourances in the attic ,
    not
EXP though.I'm not flogging them cheap mind ,as I'd have to replace
    them.
I'm in Farnham , just the other side of Guildford.
