Must be the way you ride. I don't mind 020s but I find 207s better in
the dry and about the same in the wet. There's certainly no confidence
problem with them. From what I can make out they were the tyre of choice
when the ZX7 was a new thing, and a couple of my mate's who have ZX7s
still use them in preference to anything else.

I managed to shag a rear Barracuda in 3,000 miles on my CB250RS.

I've 020's on the ace now. They don't feel right at all. I think
    it's because they're a 'touring' (at 120mph!) tyre. When I swapped
from 020's to a pair of AV45/46's on the FJR 1300 it felt a million
times better. Maybe I should consider Avons... can get 3 tyres for
    the same price at FWR's.
Been OK down here for this week. Dark, cold, a little damp but not
    wet.

The Thunderace didn't like the 020s that much, that I'm sure of. My last
ZZR11 felt much better after I fitted Avons, but prior to that I didn't
really have any complaints about the 020s I was running on that bike.
020s are good tyres but they seem to suit some bikes and not others. I
did many thousands of miles of hooning on them and never had any really
nasty moments due to any failings of the tyres alone. Had a few nasty
moments when I let the tyre pressures drop to silly levels, but that was
it. The Avons were great as a sports/touring tyre, but I regarded my
Thunderace as much sportier than the ZZR so fitted stickier tyres to it.
Been the same here, but my 9R's off the road for work so not been going
    out on it.

I've just had a pair fitted. Early days yet - they're barely scrubbed in

Before that I had BT019/BT012. Those were fine, but they got a bit
squirmy near the end. (They were *very* worn, though.)
