Getting new tyres fitted to my RRY Blade tomorrow. 010, 012 and 012SS are
all the same price fitted to loose rims (£195, how does that compare to the
mainland btw? Those are Northern Ireland prices)

I'm currently using 010s's which are great. Question is are 012's the
replacement for them and if so are they as good or better. They have been
out for a while now so how come 010's are still available? The 012SS I know
are more track day orientated. There's new 014's on the way but they ain't
    avail just yet apparently.

Good or better at what? Sticking to the ground? Burnouts? Sliding in the
wet? Longevity? Vibration damping? Noise reduction? Improving fuel
economy? Reducing rider fatigue? Go on gissa clue.

    How disappointed you must be.

    Sounds about average.
I went from 010 to 012 but I'm not good enough to say what the
difference in the ride is. They're just as good as the 010s though.

The 012ss will wear much quicker. Not worth it as a road tyre IMO.

Now that is seriously cheap. Is that what the average biker is likely to pay
for a pair of Bridgestone on the mainland then? I somehow doubt it.
