  2. Not when you're sliding them around in the dirt the way I had the habit of.

  3. Not that time Pete, Marie and her friend, also riding a K75s arrived back at
the campsite to hear that both their husbands collectively were just seen
    upside down.

  4. I've got a compressor and tyre inflator in the garage, John. Makes it easy
to do all the tyres cold once a week.

Me too, very handy, I am just looking at some extra safety when I take my 2,
8 year old boys to rallies.

A quick google for "tyre pressure monitor" turned up a wide
range of electronic units (and the obligatory silly plastic
    ones as well).

Some create a better impression than others. The highly dodgy
web site at <http://www.thetyrepressuremonitor.com/>, for example,
inspired me never to go anywhere near their product.

    What I couldn't find was a particular review I read maybe a
year ago, IIRC one particular brand was associated with one of
the big tyre manufacturers. That *might* have been Michelin,
but it might not have been too. Googling for "tyre pressure
monitor" + <brand name> just brings out the dodgiest of the
    dodgy web sites :-/

The Smartyre system for the motorcycles is the same system that
is standard equipment on the new HSVs. made by the same compony.
They are the ones that the 4WDrivers use, they also make them for
    semis.

A consideration with these units is that you may need to rebalance the
wheels... they create an off centre weight input similar to an extra
    wheel weight.

This should not be a problem as you have to dismount the tyre to mount them
    anyway.

Just a pity they don't make a kit for 3 wheels, as if sidecars are weird or
    something!

Which, having pulled into Wodbury-Aldonga in the middle of the night in
the pissing rain with a laden bike and a rapidly deflating front tyre,
thinking I was just getting tired until I just about dropped it in a
roundabout, would be kind of nice!

Ask 'em if the car system will cope with four different pressure
    settings!

So that you can pitch one in the shed and put the other three
    on your bike-with-sidecar arrangement.
