The bit marked 'Hotel' is the Waterside Inn, and the Fat Duck's
within spitting distance thereof. The arrow should be pointing
directly at the Emperor.

Well, quite, Zone 6 is practically Cornwall in itself.

Safe to say Turnpike Lane isn't anywhere near Brick Lane.

 

being as it's "quite literally, mate" just down the road[1] from me, I
have less excuse than you for not going more often.

[1] well, 4 miles "down the road".

 

good 8 miles away.

It's also across the road from one of the few Wetherspoons pubs that
actually has a 1/2 decent atmostphere.

 

well marginally less - I've got a direct bus service from the top of my
road to Turnpike Lane station so it isn't exactly a hardship for me.

 

true. It's a pity there's nothing much else in Turnpike Lane to make
it worth going there, though.

 

I like eating at Sarkhel's in Southfields, the food is just great. I
was there last month. They won the Carlton London Restaurant Awards
for the `Best Indian Restaurant'. Very reasonably priced as well.
