You say, "whatever shit comes your way is fully deserved."

I do not feel that way about anyone.

Doenitz's Counsel was Otto Kranzbruehler. The only one of the defence to

Works both ways. The number of picket lines I've been filmed on...
Though why plod feel the need to dress up in black ninja romper suits to
work the camera defeats me. Some sort of Haiwan shirt should be more in
    order.

"Appeared to be driving under the influence" "looking at me in a funny
    way" etc.

I dimly recall seeing some police stop biker murder video thing on the
television and the plod on that was saying they're suspicious of vans
with plain number plates (no dealer/leasing 'advert' on them) and people
    who don't make eye contact.

So you can be stopped for a legal plate and 'not looking at me in a funny
    way'

Non sequitur. Even if your allegation were true - and I do not think it is
    - it would not mean I felt that way about you, or those who pull your
strings, and to who's tune you dance.

Even after that baseless insult, I still do not feel that way about anyone,
Marshall Rice included. The fact that you take orders from bent solicitors
Cook and Partners - and you do - does not mean I want to inflict any harm
    on you.

    Is that okay?

So why did Dönitz get 10 years, at a time when "my country right or
wrong," was the majority opinion? Karl Dönitz was punished for being born
on the wrong side of the North Sea.

They didn't punish Robert E. Lee, who fought for the South, though he
opposed both slavery and the right to secession, solely because his felt
his country was Virginia. Lee was made hero - for good reason, reasons
that seem to me to apply to Karl Dönitz.

Presumably you will be able to show your evidence of these orders being
    given and obeyed?

    Oh , sorry , now I remember.
You can't because you are a loon.

Doenitz was charged with three counts (1,2,3) of the four [1] and guilty
    of 2 and 3 (1 innocent, 4 not charged).

He was essentially found guilty because of the Laconia order [2] and the
violation of the rules on Merchant Shipping although the American Justice
Biddle's confused judgement doesn't make clear which one is which.

Given that politically the Soviets were baying for Doenitz's blood the
restraint shown by the British prosecution team was admirable (bear in
mind the majority of Doenitz's "victims" were British/Commonwealth).

    [1] The counts were
    1. Conspiracy (to wage an aggressive war)
    2. Crimes Against Peace
    3. War Crimes
    4. Crimes Against Humanity

[2] Effectively the killing of shipwrecked survivors.

  13. Indeed.

Let's face it, the Nuremburg thing was unprecedented.

However, what preceded it was, erm, unprecedented. It was decided
rightly, I think, that some form of sanction had to be laid down as
    regards human behaviour.

Ok, so this was expedient and mistakes were made, but the intention was
honouroable and the outsome, in the main, just.

And if Moore thinks differently, he should talk to someone who was
there. At length. And I bet he hasn't.

It's a good explanation. Thank you.

Although Dönitz main target was the US-UK convoy system, he was careful to
avoid dragging the US into the conflict. What became of Dönitz?

My third grievance with Nueremburg is Göbbells tried to explain the
position in Germany when the NSDAP came to power, and why, therefore, the
measures they took, were appropriate. The British ruled this irrelevant.
Arguably, though one can never say what Göbbells would have said, the
failure to deal with those problems in central Europe, surfaced again, in
    the Yugoslav civil war.
