  1. Two dead in motorcycle crash
    December 18, 2005 - 6:23PM

Two people have been killed in an accident involving three motorcycles
    on the NSW Central Coast.

Three other people were airlifted to hospital following the crash on
the Wisemans Ferry Road, about four kilometres north of Spencer.

The accident happened shortly after 2.30pm near Mangrove Creek Bridge,
a NSW Ambulance spokesman said today.

"The NRMA CareFlight doctor said it appeared one bike had lost control
on a bend and hit two other bikes travelling in the opposite
direction, with two of the bikes carrying pillion passengers," NRMA
    CareFlight spokesman Ian Badham said.

"One rider and a pillion passenger were killed on impact."

Mr Badham said the rescue helicopter landed in a paddock beside the
crash site and a doctor worked with ambulance officers to stabilise
the injured before they were airlifted to hospital.

The ambulance spokesman said one person was airlifted to Westmead
Hospital while two others were taken to Royal North Shore Hospital.

NRMA CareFlight flew a 45-year-old woman, from Merewether in
Newcastle, to Westmead Hospital suffering from multiple injuries
including a fractured pelvis, abdominal, head and leg injuries, he
    said.

The woman arrived at the hospital in a serious but stable condition.

The two people airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital were both men,
    one with leg fractures

  2. I hear the current theory is that they didn't actually crash, but were
machine-gunned down by some raving psycho war vet with a chip on his
shoulder about people who ride faster than he does...

So that would be just about 99.9% of the riding public to blame for that
    shoulder injury?

Word is yet another hayabusa was going too fast, crossed over the
doubles and cleaned up the riders. Busa rider died instantly.

The pillion who died, was the wife of the rider going safely the other
way (not the busa). She didn't die straight away, but by the side of
the road, while her husband, watched her die.

Fucking crap and depressing as hell.

Mate, I'm so sorry you had to see that happen and offer my condolences to
you and to the families of the victims of that accident.

I think it's sometimes worse to be a witness than to actually be a victim as
you unfortunately have to play it over in your mind time and time again.

You may scoff at this suggestion but i do advise you to get some form of
counselling if you haven't already. It does help and you're not a wimp to
take advantage of it. Councelling helps..beleive me!!

Take car on the roads over the silly season you Guys and Girls...we don't
    want any more fatalities.

Cheers and a Happy New Year......oh yeah and a Merry Xmas.

(rolls eyes) You're not going to mention firearms again are you?
    Give it a rest.
Instead of plonking yourself on some corner why not go and do one of those
    fangled cornering courses instead.

My heart goes out to all concerned. There is no good time for death.
I offer all my thoughts and sympathy for all concerned.
The roads are bad at any time, and unfortunately this time of year is even
    worse.

Appreciate the ones you have while you have them, because you never know
    when they won't be there.
